‘Audible Landscapes’ was the first of the ‘series of urban workshops’ being organised by GREHA, Sehreeti and Indes in Mehrauli.
It was a two day workshop on creative place-making that utilized an interdisciplinary approach by intersecting art & design practice with concepts of space within the public domain.
Participants were be invited to explore the varied points of intersection between art and spatial perception through 3 modules:
BREAK led by Mrinalini Aggarwal (Streetlight) introduced the pure form archetypes of space that are repeated within public spaces of cities; ABSORB led by Priyanka Jain (3×3 Design) introduced journey maps as a tool to capture the experience of thecommunity; and INHERIT led by Virkein Dhar introduced the body as a means to define spatial experiences.
Hosted in the historical neighbourhood of Mehrauli, the work done in the three workshops led to a temporary public art installation on the second day in a park near Shamshi Talab.
