This project is to get young minds to observe their immediate surrounding within the school or neighbourhood. After understanding and analyzing the existing, they come up with design strategies to enhance their environment to improve learning and living. It also focuses on small design gestures, which could support the children of all age groups to begin to “own” the space as their own. Besides being a platform for free expression, ingrained in the nature of the project is design awareness, knowledge of the crafts and skill development. Apart from workshop series with students, there may be the need to have a series of teacher training workshops as well to ensure, continuity of ideas into the future.
